          Will I need Spotify or some kind of streaming plan?

          Nope — it works completely offline. You load your MP3 files onto the box once from your laptop, and from then on there's no internet, no app, and no subscription. The music belongs to you.

          Connect the box to your laptop using the USB-C cable in the box. Open the folder you want, remove the old MP3, and drop in the new one. Done in about 30 seconds.

          MP3 files only. Anything else (WAV, FLAC, M4A) won't be picked up. You can turn any audio file into an MP3 for free with an online converter such as CloudConvert.

          You get 9 numbered chips. Attach each one to the back of whichever disc you choose — its number lines up with the folder on your laptop holding that MP3. Where you place it on the disc makes no difference.

          Yes — both of them. Plug the box in over USB-C and it appears as an external drive holding 9 folders. No drivers and no software to install.

          Any disc can be rewritten whenever you like — so across the 9 discs your song count is essentially endless. If you want a bigger library, extra disc sets are available in the shop.
